DC Comics released an adaptation of the third Star Trek movie. I picked up a copy on 29 June 1984 and had the following reaction to it:
"Today I finally found the DC comic adaption of Star Trek III: The Search For Spock and it is very good indeed. Only a few errors, mostly minor, kept it from being perfect. The most obvious was the replay of the scene in ST II where Spock mind melds with McCoy. In the comic it is McCoy's hand which touches his own face!! The error was with the colourer who drew the arm as doctor's white instead of Spock red. Also, Kirk and company wore normal extravehicular gear on the Enterprise and on the Genesis Planet instead of the more casual dress of the movie. But those mistakes excepted, the mag was fine indeed."
